Cheese Crackers Recipe, how to make homemade cheese crackers!



Cheesy pizzy crackers, just like cheez-it crackers which are relatively healthy and homemade with real ingredients that includes no artificial colours, no preservatives, no sugars, no artificial-flavour enhancers.

Instead of buying cheese crackers at the supermarkets which are full of artificial stuff, then choose to make your own cheese crackers. And here I am to share my own cheesy-pizzy crackers recipe which will be ready to snack on by that time kids are back from school.
Texture- cheesy, crunchy, salty and more tastier than the store bought ones.
You can store your crackers in an air tight container and enjoy them. You can also use fun cutters in different shapes and sizes. Main ingredients used in the recipe are cheddar cheese, AP flour.
This recipe is ideal for a school or on-the-go snack! One of mom's biggest tasks is giving her kids snack & lunch boxes filled with good and healthy food. This recipe can be the one of the healthiest choice.

Resting time: 30 minutes
cooking time: 15-17 minutes

Yields: 1 medium bowl

Ingredients:


Plain flour - 70g
Cheddar cheese - 100g
Unsalted butter - 1tbsp
Cold water - 2tsp
Pepper powder a pinch
salt very little

Method:

1.) In a bowl, beat butter+cheese until both are mixed well.

2.) Add flour+salt+pepper+cold water, blend it again.

3.) Now knead it with hands.

4.) Place the above mixture on worktop/kitchen  surface and start kneading again until the dough comes together.

5.) Form the dough into a patty/ball shape.

6.) wrap in baking/parchment/plastic sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

7.) Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Line a baking/parchment sheet on a baking tray.

8.) Roll out the dough to 1/4-inch thickness, trim around edge by pushing the dough inside and cut into squares with a pizza cutter.

9.) Use a wooden skewer to poke a small hole in the centre of each square.

10.) Transfer to the prepared baking sheet and bake until golden brown or until you hear hollow sound, 15 to 17 minutes.

11.) Cool completely before store them in an air tight container.
