Vegetable puffs




 Vegetable Puffs Recipe



Prep Time: 2hrs
Cooking Time: 35 mins

Ingredients


Croissant/Puff Pastry - 1 sheet
Water - 3 tbsp


Filling


Potato - 150g(pealed,washed and finely chopped)
Carrot - 70g(pealed,washed and finely chopped)
Onion - 50g(finely chopped)/optional
Capsicum - 50g(finely chopped)
Dhania pwd - 2 tbsp
Zeera pwd - 2 tbsp
Turmeric pwd - 1tsp
Garam masala pwd - 1 tbsp
Zeera - 1tbsp
Chilly pwd  to taste
Salt to taste
Oil - 1 tbsp


Method For Filling





  1. Take oil in a frying pan on medium heat.Add zeera and let it splatter  and add all the chopped veggies following with salt,give it a stir and cook it for 5 mins covering with lid.
  2. Now it's time to add all the dry ingredients,stir and fry it for 1 min without lid.
  3. Transfer it to a plate and let it cool down completely.

Method For Puffs






Place the pastry sheet on flat surface or if you are using solid pastry block then dust the surface with little flour and roll with rolling pin into a 1/3 inch thick.


Make the division or cutting the sheet which can make up to 6 or 8 puffs or depending on the size of sheet you are using.



Place the 2 tbsp of filling on centre of each piece and wet the edges with little water using your finger.


Now fold each piece and seal the edges by pressing with your fingers.


Now place all these pieces on a tray or plate and rest it in fridge for at least 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees with fan.
Now place a baking sheet on baking tray or grease the baking tray and place all these puff pastries on tray and bake it for 25 mins or until light golden color.



             Vegetable puffs are ready and serve hot with ketchup and Tea.




Tips


  • I used croissant pastry and it came out very well and tasty.
  • These goes well with parties,picnics as starters.
  • You can add your choice of veggies.
